Global Emerging Markets was originally a Chicago based international consulting firm, Global Development Network that Sina Souhemekhian, the current President and CEO of GEM and his partners acquired in 2006. At the time GDN was performing business analysis and consulting services for Fortune 500 companies worldwide and had been in business since 1993. The new management then recognized and utilized GDN’s global footprint to transform the company into Global Energy Markets, in pursuit of the booming yet speculative commodities trading of oil, coal and other energy related products and services. For the past four years GEM has diligently pursued this business model but through extensive travels of GEM’s executives and the company’s expanding international business network GEM has identified a creative means by which to supply needed additional products in the form of agricultural food stuffs and medical supplies to countries in which there is a much needed demand for them.
For the past year senior management has been formulating and implementing the business plan for Global Emerging Markets. For more information on the new GEM please visit our "Services" section
